WCW: Debra Winans
Resilient, the first word that comes to mind when I think of Ms. Debra Winans. Debra D. Winans is CEO of SurMount, a company that empowers women to pursue their life purpose after personal tragedy and difficult challenges. Debra is the author of Life Altered, Not Over…My silent Journey to Wholeness, which deals with the recovery process during and after divorce. In her book, she explains that God’s purpose for our life does not change like our circumstances. Debra’s undying motto is, "My circumstances do not change the fact that I was uniquely created with a purpose!” She has overcome several obstacles such as the death of her parents, divorce, and returning to school after the age of 50, which has caused her to survive and thrive with each life experience.
Debra’s passion is to see men and women walk in their divine purpose and self-identity amidst the tragic circumstances in their lives; to watch them be a whole person in every area of life, equipped to live in a place of freedom, peace and the pursuit of purpose. With more than two decades of experience helping to build leading religious and secular organizations, Debra has an uncanny ability to refine a business’s operations and reconnect it to its original mission. Ms. Winans identifies the crucial areas in need of reconstruction, revitalizes leadership and promotes growth in deprived areas.
