WCW: Kelah Mckee

"Oh to be Young, Gifted, and Black!" Kelah Mckee embodies this statement and she wants others like her to as well. Kelah Mckee, otherwise known as ThePolishedLady is a brazen 22 year old Indianapolis native. She is the founder and President of PolishedBricks, which is an online platform created to empower the African American community by providing networking and allowing members to share their stories and share how they are making a positive impact on their communities.

She became a motivational speaker after facing some bullying issues and other obstacles. She realized it was time for the world to know I have a voice. She has spoken in front of the Indiana Higher Education Committee of Student Success and Retention, Day at the Statehouse and as a panelist for the Indy Black Chamber of Commerce at their Black Business Summit.

She's a current student at Ivy Tech Community College, studying communications with a focus in PR and a minor in African American studies. In addition she is the first Miss Ivy for Ivy tech community college. She's an alumna of Pass the Torch Foundation , The Rose Project and Center for Leadership development. She is a member of Everything Underground. She serves on two boards. She's the youngest member on the African American History committee Advisory Board and she's a board member for Glow Girls Worldwide.

Kelah overall just wants African Americans to be seen in a positive light, allow the youth access to mentors and inspire those who have yet to shed their light with us .
